Happy Friday, A great big shout out to Christel, Gavin and Michael, hanks for sending me some of your favourite songs of our faith.

This week I am thinking about being brave. I wonder what do you feel when you are being brave?  I wonder what are the brave things have you done this week?  I wonder when you do a random act of kindness is that being brave?  Is spreading love being brave? Is speaking with kindness a brave thing?

Maybe you’d like to draw a picture of being brave and ask an adult to take a picture of it and sent it to avunitedchurch@shaw.ca  .

Rev. Minnie would love to include your picture in next Sundays Church Service.

  2. Be open for life’s Spiritual moments
  3. Talk  about your faith
  4. Serve  together
  5. Create a spiritual practice tool kit.
  6. Bible Storytelling, read, or find cool videos (there are cool bible trivia games)
  7. Teach  your children through the way you pray; let them see you praying.
  8. Write notes. God loves you, and so do I.
  9. Share  God’s vision for the world and connect that vision to the book  “Enemy Pie.”

Do you have something to add to this list?

When Ethan looks under the bed for his monster, he finds this note instead: “So long, kid. Gotta go. Someone needs me more than you do. –Gabe” How will Ethan ever get to sleep without his monster’s familiar, comforting snorts? And who could need Gabe more than Ethan does? Gabe must have gone to Ethan’s little sister’s room! She has been climbing out of bed every night to play, and obviously needs a monster to help her get to sleep – but not HIS monster! Ethan tries to help his sister find her own monster, but none are the perfect blend of cute and creepy. Just when it seems that Ethan will lose his monster forever, an uninvited, tutu-toting little monster full of frightening fun appears.
